Founder & President

Sara Mazzola is a Grant Accountant at Feeding Tampa Bay, where she is responsible for maintaining  all financial records related to grants and compiling grant progress and completion reports. Previously, she was an Analyst at Topmark Partners, where she was evaluated and tracked investments in growth-stage technology companies. She received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Tampa where she graduated with Summa Cum Laude Distinction.

While studying at the University of Tampa, Mazzola developed a passion for social entrepreneurship, which put social causes at the heart of business. She hoped that she would be able to use her education to uplift underserved communities. Soon after graduating, she met Dr. Scott Miller and learned about his microfinance initiative in South Central Los Angeles. She was taken with the idea and quickly realized that she could actively start making a difference in her own community. Soon after, Mazzola and Dr. Miller founded IMPACT. As the Co-Founder and President of IMPACT, Mazzola is responsible for the overall coordination, management and implementation of microloans. She works closely with student consultants and serves as a liaison between Board of Directors and the local community. Mazzola enjoys working with a group of likeminded, driven individuals to meaningfully impact underserved populations. She believes that it is the duty of those with resources to share those resources with others, who by no means of their own, were born with less.
