Matthew Sutton is a poet, activist and rap artist who is passionate about making positive change throughout the world.  He is actively involved throughout his community to make positive social change through his music and artistic expression.  Matthew has used the power of his words to and inspired others to do so as well.  
The Challenge
Amidst the recent civil unrest in south central Los Angeles, Matthew has been active in finding peaceful solutions to the growing challenges that face his community.  While working full-time to support his family, he has still found time to follow his dream.  He has created a new music video every Monday in 2021 using the hashtag #MatthewSuttonMonday.  IMPACT is conducting research to help him find ways to monetize his talent.
The IMPACT
With IMPACT’s help, Matthew has already become verified on various platforms.  Our interns have helped define how various social media outlets and music platforms work differently and how to create unique content for each.

Members of IMPACT’s team are currently:
  • Working to attain verification on his various social media platforms.
  • Streamlining the content creation process to become more efficient and focused for his key demographics.
  • Researching performance venues and creative ways to reach his fans.
  • Exploring creative and innovative methods for the monetization of artistic expression, including nonfungible tokens (NFTs) and receiving promotions by social media influencers.
