Trinity McGregor

Trinity McGregor is the founder of a photography business and student at Middle College High School in Los Angeles, California.
The Challenge
A few weeks before Christmas, in December of 2018, Trinity’s home was broken into. The burglars stole her MacBook Air and Nikon D3500 DSLR camera that she saved up for a year to purchase. This equipment had been used to start her small business as well as provide additional income for her family.
Despite having her business equipment and personal belongings stolen, Trinity managed to rebuild and recreate her successful photography business, PhotosByDaNae3. When faced with difficult circumstances, Trinity has never made excuses or complained. Instead, she has always chosen to work even harder to find solutions and ultimately succeed in all of her artistic, academic and athletic endeavors. Growing up in South Central Los Angeles, Trinity's determination to overcome the adversity she faced continues to inspire people across the country.
With IMPACT’s help, Trinity was able to recover from the loss of her business equipment as well as jump start her photography career.

Members of IMPACT’s team were able to help Trinity:
  • Recover $2,135 worth of photography equipment, including a Nikon Camera Model D3500 DSLR and MacBook Air.
  • Earn $500 in profit from selling her photographs on the University of Tampa’s campus to put into her Charles Schwab investment account
  • Arrange for a private tour of Manhattan Beach Studios with professional photographer Mark Nicholas
  • Coordinate to be a special VIP Guest on America’s Funniest Videos (AFV) alongside Alfonso Ribeiro
  • Provide a $100 startup investment through Charles Schwab
Trinity is currently taking college courses so that she will receive two Associate of Arts (AA) Degrees in addition to her diploma when she graduates from high school. After graduation, Trinity will further her education at an HBCU where she plans to major in Business Administration. Trinity intends to continue her photography journey in college, while improving and expanding her work.
